“Some don’t realize the power of lyrics.’Cause when you rap about death, you’re talking to spirtits”
– Dj Quik
Good
Throughout history, the world has been fascinated by prolific speakers and those who are able to verbally maneuver in a manner that delivers precisely what the speaker intends to convey. Admittedly, I am more impressed with the silence used by great communicators to get their listener(s) to understand the importance of their message by magnifying their energy and muting their mouths. Simplicity is elegance and there is nothing more elegant than precision. I wholeheartedly believe that silence is golden. After all, don’t actions speak louder than words? More people have gotten in trouble by talking their way into situations they weren’t prepared for. Words have more power than people tend to understand. Chant over an Ouija board in the dark with some friends and tell me otherwise. I didn’t think so… Words have a magical ability to program people.
Abra Cadabra
Most of us have heard magicians use the words abracadabra before revealing something extraordinary. My good friend, and super-botanist, Steve, once reminded me the origin of the spell “abracadabra.” The Hebrew/ Armaic phrase avra kadavra (avra kehdabra) means, “I will create as I speak.” This seems to be the epitome of speaking it into existence.
When people get married, the vows they take are a spiritual reminder of the commitment they are making to one another. Politicians, peace officers, and public servants take the oath to remind them of the responsibility and commitment associated with the position for which they will take. Baptisms, rites of passages, and religious dedications all require a pledging of allegiance as a commitment to perform. Once these commitments are desecrated, there is usually an immediate reminder from the universe about the verbal signature used to sign a promissory contract. Some call this reminder Karma.
“Words are spells.” This is the conclusion Sam and I came to this morning after discussing the power of words. Our conversation was mainly based on how difficult it is to be consistently positive when it comes to achieving goals and training the mind to shift into optimistic mode.
Bad
Have you ever received a punishment accompanied by a verbal lashing? Made a mistake in front of a friend that couldn’t resist taking advantage of an opportunity to utter the words “I told you so”? These situations allow programmable language to come into our realm of consciousness. Once we learn how to identify automatic negative thoughts (ANT’s), we can deflect ANT’s. The key to not letting automatic negative thoughts invade you mental space is to control your content. Immerse yourself in positivity. Do not withdraw or allow anyone else to withdraw more than they deposit into your emotional bank account, spiritual bank account, etc,. One of the ways people get close enough to withdraw more than they deposit is through intimacy.
Sex
If you are from the south, you are probably familiar with sex-expert Alexyss K. Tylor. Alexyss is a firm believer that the mind is sensitive to the power of suggestion. Alexyss believes that programming occurs during intercourse and binds people to the agreements they make during this ritual. If you’ve seen the movie Babyboy, you've witnessed the power of suggestion occurring when Jody “recommended” Yvette make tacos and clean the house. This level of mental programming is a side effect of spiritually transmitted diseases (STD’s), a term I learned after reading the named book, authored by Tiffany A. Harrison. Sometimes a moment of pleasure can end in a lifetime of agony. Do Not Allow It! Have some self-control! Give me your word...

Okay I see you
